Schroeders celebrate 65th anniversary

Ray and Harriet Schroeder

Ray and Harriet Schroeder are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary on May 15. They were married May 15, 1954 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North Freedom. They have two children, Mark, who lives in the Milwaukee area, and Lisa of Madison. They have three grandchildren, Emily, Maria, and Evelyn, and a great-granddaughter, Athena.

Harriet retired from the Richland School District in 1998 where she was secretary at Doudna School and now is keeping herself busy with her family and volunteering with the quilting group at St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Ray has worked part time at WRCO since 1965 broadcasting high school sporting events and doing his radio show, “Reminiscing with Ray,” Saturday afternoons. He retired from the state in 1989 where he worked for the Division of Motor Vehicles for 30 years. He currently is involved with several local committees.
