Platteville Common Council candidate forum tonight

The three candidates for the Platteville Common Council at-large seat will participate in a candidate forum in the Municipal Building council chambers today at 7 p.m.

The candidate forum will be broadcast live on CenturyLink channel 36, and can be seen after the forum at www.
platteville.org and on the city’s YouTube page, www.youtube.com/user/PlattevilleWISC.

Three candidates — Darrel Browning, 345 S. Chestnut St., Brian E. Chapman, 130 W. Dewey St.; and Amy Seeboth, 455 Lutheran St. — are running for the three-year at-large seat being vacated by Ald. Patrice Steiner.

The Feb. 18 primary will reduce the number of candidates to two for the April 1 election. The April 1 election will also feature school board, village and town board, and county board elections.

Primary election voting will be held at the National Guard Armory, 475 N. Water St. No voting will take place at the UW–Platteville Ullsvik Hall polling place for the primary election. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
