Journal editor Steve Prestegard took these photos around Platteville June 16 after power went out before 11 p.m. The photos were taken before the full extent of the damage from the two tornadoes that hit the city was realized. Power was out throughout the city other than at buildings that had generators, including the Platteville Fire Department.
