Ardene “Deenie” Swenson, age 61 of Viroqua, died Thursday, Apr. 25, 2013 at Gundersen-Lutheran in LaCrosse.

She was born on Apr. 8, 1952 in Sparta to William and Georgia (Buchanan) Bartelt. On June 25, 1983 she was united in marriage to LaVerne “Buck” Swenson, and he preceded her in death. Deenie enjoyed crocheting and loved music.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Apr.  30, 2013 at 1 p.m. at  the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 West Decker (Hwy 56) in Viroqua. Pastor Julie Wollman officiated, with burial in the Bloomingdale Cemetery. Friends called on Tuesday after 12 noon at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home in Viroqua.
