Leland L. “Boots” Leighty, 95, Platteville, died on Monday, March 9 at ManorCare Health Services in Platteville.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday, March 13 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville. Rev. Richard Leffler officiated. Chapel military rites were accorded by American Legion Post #42 and VFW Post #5274. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery in Platteville. Visitation was from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Leland “Boots” Leighty Memorial Fund.
