I am one of two candidates for the open at-large seat on the Platteville Common Council and am writing to respectfully ask for your vote at the April 1 election.
As a young professional, I moved to Platteville for a job with Southwestern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission and immediately became involved in the community. I served three years on the Planning Commission, have been on the Platteville Community Arboretum board since 2010, and am currently on the Extraterritorial Zoning Board of Appeals. I enjoy rolling up my sleeves and working hard with other citizens to improve the city.
I know what it takes to get things done. While at the Regional Planning Commission I helped bring more than $2.2 million in grant dollars into Southwest Wisconsin. I wrote more than 20 plans for local governments, including the Platteville Safe Routes to School Plan, and have participated in numerous community meetings, many involving complicated decisions.
I am running for the Platteville Common Council because I want to help the city maintain low tax rates while also ensuring that we continue to move forward. Platteville is a great place to live, and we should always look for ways for the city to be an even better place for all residents, from young families to retirees alike. I am the person to help make that happen.
I hope you will consider casting your vote for me on April 1st, I would be honored to represent you on the Common Council.

I am writing to encourage all Platteville citizens to vote for Amy Seeboth in the Tuesday, April 1 Common Council election.
Amy has volunteered with many area non-profits and served on several city committees. She has worked to improve Platteville and the entire region with her work at the Southwest Regional Planning Commission. She has proven her responsibility and integrity.
Amy is the sort of energetic young professional who represents the future of our community. As a councilwoman, she will assume a leadership role and we can all benefit from her hard work, dedication and commitment to Platteville.

Another Seeboth vote
On April 1 I encourage you to vote Amy Seeboth for alderperson at large.
Why vote for Amy? Amy is a young business professional who is very involved in the community. Amy presently serves on the Platteville Community Arboretum board, the Main Street Program’s Sustainability Committee, and the Extraterritorial Zoning Board. Amy also served three years on the city Planning Commission as well as two years as a Safe Routes to School consultant.
Amy worked as a consultant on the city/town comprehensive plan update. She’s a certified urban planner, and is interested in promoting careful growth and a focus on making our community attractive and welcoming to new employers and residents.
How can we not have this person working for all of us? If you want an alderperson who doesn’t just talk the talk but walks the walk, vote for Amy Seeboth.

‘A wake-up call’
Recently on the local news I learned of the lawsuit that has been filed against Gov. Scott Walker and the State of Wisconsin about our laws concerning same-sex marriage.
I would hope that this would serve as a wake-up call to clergy and religious folks to vociferously oppose those who are advocating the pernicious scheme to promote sodomy and the acceptance of their deviate lifestyles.
It is the duty of clergymen to reprove and rebuke sin and immorality, yet there is an eerie silence and ever acquiescence to the moral debauchery that is prevalent today across America.
We elected an “amoral degenerate” to the highest office, who is promoting his homosexual and pro-abortion agenda and is ruling this country as a dictator, sidestepping Congress with his pen and phone.
It is also a sad state when Rome places a public figure in office who is tolerant of the current Sodomite agenda that, when asked about the matter, replied, “Who am I to judge?”
God has been shunned and shown the door in our public schools. The Ten Commandments have been thrown on the scrap heap. There is no prayer allowed in public schools until a child is shot to death! Our children are told they evolved from apes and monkeys, and that homosexuality is acceptable and normal.
It is noteworthy that even five weeks after Sept. 11, 2001, churches experienced some of their best attendance in decades. Now church attendance is lower than ever.
It is time for an awakening in America. Consider this a clarion call to clergymen of every persuasion. Whether you are a pope, priest, preacher or just a Bible-thumper, it is time to come out of your prayer closet. Support our governor and Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen in their fight against this perverse movement.
