May is Tavern Month

May is Tavern Month, so take some time to recognize the important role that independent tavern owners play in their communities throughout Wisconsin.

Let’s celebrate these hardworking individuals. Stop in a TLW-member establishment and raise a glass to their continued success and unyielding generosity.

Throughout our great state members of the Tavern League of Wisconsin make it a priority to support their communities through a variety of fundraising efforts. Giving back is not a chore but instead a conscious effort to support local communities and help make Wisconsin a better place to live.

This community-minded spirit is evident in a report just released by the Tavern League, showing its members donated over $15,000,000 to more than 12,000 charities in 2013.

The Tavern League fundraising efforts in the Grant Iowa County Tavern League resulted in $961,821 raised for 2,205 local charities.

Whether it’s providing jobs, paying taxes or donating to charities, members of the Tavern League of Wisconsin show they truly are Friends and neighbors helping friends and neighbors.
