Plattevilles Wes Schnepper struck out six and tossed a complete game Sunday, but the Woodchucks fell to 112 on the season with a 40 loss to Monroe.

Wes Schnepper  battled for nine innings striking out six in a nine-inning complete game, but in the end Schnepper and his Platteville teammates couldn’t muster enough offense.
Schepper’s opposing number Mitch Kauk tossed seven shutout innings and Einbeck closed the door with two more scoreless frames as the visiting Monroe Brewers blanked Platteville 4–0 Sunday afternoon in a Home Talent League baseball game at Hill Field. The loss was the Woodchucks (1–12) 12th straight, while Monroe improved to 4–9.
Kauk scattered five hits and worked around eight walks with some solid defense behind him.
Meanwhile, Schnepper went the distance allowing four runs on nine hits. He also walked three and went 2-for-4 at the plate.
Monroe scored a run in the second, one in the fourth, and two in the fifth.
Alex White also went 2-for-4 in the loss for Platteville.
Friday night Platteville dropped a 10–9 decision in an Independence Day game at Wiota.
Rooney Janecke and Jay Haldiman each drove in runs as the Indians (9–4 Sunday League) scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, then held off a ninth-inning rally by the Woodchucks to pull out a one-run victory.
Platteville tied the game with six runs in the top of the sixth, then again with a single run in the top of the eighth.
Shortstop Gaige Lueder (3-for-6) and centerfielder Trevor Kattre (3-for-5) each had three hits to power the Woodchucks’ 14-hit attack.
Catcher Jake Sylvester (2-for-5) and Hunter Johnston (2-for-6) each had two hits in the loss.
Schnepper started and allowed six runs on six hits and six walks in five innings.
Jake Green (0–5) took the loss after allowing two earned runs on two hits and three walks in three innings pitched.
Platteville will look to snap its 12-game losing streak Sunday at Shullsburg/Benton (3–10). The Fever defeated the Woochucks 7–0 on May 18 at Hill Field.
